PHOTO PROJECTS

Art Therapy

2009 - This project explores a weekly class of individuals who use art as a means of therapy for their mental and physical disabilities. I photographed the class for five months using black and white film.

Radford Road     2010 - On the surface of Radford Road there appears to be a strong Asian community but a closer look as this stretch shows a divide occurring. The split is between Indian and Pakistani run shops that attract very different people.
Over the course of five months I documented this co-existence by interviewing the shop owners and asking them how they felt the situation had developed. I encountered numerous opinions but the one which seemed most prominent was the act of survival. Survival for ones own culture, family and values which seem challenged in England's western culture.

Segregation and Survival   2011- As part of the a short documentary which explores caste discrimination in the UK. (Find the documentary here)
